Meshwise Privacy Policy
Effective 2026-09-06
Meshwise scans rooms and objects with your iPhone's camera and LiDAR and turns them into floor plans and 3D models. This is what happens to that data. Short version: it stays on your phone, and none of it comes to me.
What the app stores
- Scans. Depth maps, meshes, photos and camera poses from the walk-through, saved in the app's Documents folder on the device (
Scans/). These are pictures of the inside of your house, so treat them that way. - Plans and models. The floor plan, the room names you type, and the 3D models built from the scan, saved next to it.
- Preferences. Units and similar settings, on the device.
What the app does not do
- It does not collect, transmit or upload anything. There is no networking code in the app at all, no analytics, no ads, no third-party SDKs.
- It does not track you, and there is nobody to share your data with.
- Editing the plan by typing uses Apple Intelligence on the phone. Your plan text never goes to a server.
What leaves your device, and only because you said so
- Share. Tap Share, pick a destination (AirDrop, Files, Messages, Mail, another app) and the file goes there. From that point the destination's own privacy policy applies, not this one.
- Files app. Your scans show up in the Files app under *On My iPhone › Meshwise*, so you can copy them off yourself.
- iCloud backup, off unless you turn it on. There is a switch in Settings, off by default. Turn it on and the app copies each scan's plan, mesh, model and photos into *iCloud Drive › Meshwise › Scans* on your own iCloud account. Raw depth frames need a second switch because they are big. Deleting a scan in the app deletes the iCloud copy; turning the switch back off stops new copies but leaves the old ones, which you can delete in Files. Those files live with Apple under Apple's iCloud terms (https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/icloud/), not with JolleyTech, and I never see them.
Deleting your data
Swipe a scan in the list, or long-press it, and choose Delete. That removes every file for it. Deleting the app removes the lot.
Permissions
- Camera. Needed to scan. The camera and LiDAR only run while a capture screen is open.
- Nothing else is asked for: no location, no microphone, no contacts, no photo library.
Children
Meshwise is not aimed at children under 13, and it does not knowingly collect information from anyone.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new one is dated here and shown in the app.
